Courses are also delivered through many community venues including schools and children’s centres. The Service provides learning from pre-entry level to level 2 in Community Development, Art, Craft & Design, ICT, First Aid, Skills for Life, ESOL,  Languages, GCSE English and Maths, Personal Development, Health and Well Being, Cookery & Food Safety, Health and Safety, Childcare, Playwork.

Family Learning courses (Parents/carers alone or with their children)

Family Language, Literacy and Numeracy courses include:
Help your Child with Schoolwork, Surviving SATS, Starting School, Story Sacks & fun with words/numbers. As well as Literacy and Numeracy (intensive) courses.

Wider Family Learning courses (short tasters) include:
Arts & Crafts, KNEX,  Gardening, Make and Play Board Games, Wacky Science, Family First Aid, French/Spanish, Parenting, & Valentine/Mother’s Day Pots, 1 Session specials.

Course guide is posted to Calderdale households at the end of June and March each year and through public centres in January each year.
